Key Stage 4

At Dundonald High School we strive to offer a full range of academic and vocational subjects. In Year 10 pupils make their choices for the subjects they will study in Year 11. The number of subjects and the level is matched to the pupil's ability; this depends on information gathered from subject teachers, form teachers and Yellis testing. We use these tests to help guide pupils to subjects that they may have an aptitude for.
At every stage in the process, parents and pupils are encouraged to discuss their option choices with the teachers.

Work Experience

Year 12 pupils have the opportunity to complete a work placement with local businesses. This experience is very rewarding and often very insightful for pupils who are considering a career in a particular area.
